Mission Statement

Our purpose at Liberty In Christ Christian Church is to reach as many people with the good news of Jesus Christ as possible. We accomplish this through: Relevant and challenging messages from our pastors along with an exciting atmosphere of praise and worship during our services. We take seriously the scriptures, prayer and the call to "do justice, love mercy and walk humbly before God" (Micah 3:8). God is using  us, through prophetic preaching and teaching, to bring the hope of the Gospel, take every thought captive to Christ , bring God's healing love to hurting people, good news to the poor, to bind up the broken hearted, to set free the captives and to preach peace, in our communities and ultimately to the world,  as Jesus did.

VISION

A vision is a road map. It speaks of the things we believe God is calling us to move toward in prayer and ministry. We understand that these things will come to pass as we follow the road map given by God. For the word declares "without a vision, my people perish (Proverbs 29:18)."

The vision that God has given us, is to first teach and develop a "spirit of faith" in the members, who in turn teach it to others as the congregation grows. Secondly, God has given us a specific geographic area. Our plans are to provide a spiritual, social, and economical structure to that area, so we will be able to meet the needs of the whole man. The vision consists of a great sanctuary, recreational facilities, a battered woman's home, and much more.

Habakkuk, whose name means "Embracer", was instructed to write the vision so all who read it would know that the answer to all of their problems was in the vision. We embrace the Word that the Lord has given us and we are acting on His Word. The Vision is the Answer! Proverbs 29:18 states very clearly that without a vision, you can forget it because, ". . . the people will perish."

Isaiah 46:10 reads, "Declaring the end from the beginning . . . " Our job is to clearly explain the purpose, goals, objectives, strategies, and plan of action, to successfully bring forth The Vision. Without goals, progress is haphazard, uncharted, and difficult to measure in accountability. Purpose and motivation are fed by goals. Objectives equal direction and will help us to see where we are going. They are essential to the goals, and consistent with the purpose and vision of the ministry.

Planning is vitally important to bringing forth the vision of God. It has been said that he who fails to plan, plans to fail. Every member who has resources to compliment the needed departments in this ministry must begin to step forward and bring the effectiveness of their ministry into full view. Each member is a very important part of this ministry. God is depending on us to implement the plans and He will work it out step-by-step.  "Everyone Is Needed and Everyone Is Important!"

We must begin to organize everything!! Organization is God's first principle. Before He gave His best, He organized. If we want to be God's best we must organize. Organization is a social system, deliberately established to carry out some definite purposes. The organization assigns a position to each of its members, and the member has a specific part to play in the organization's collective program. The church is not an organization, but it is an organism (alive!!). This organism must be an organized-organism.

THE CHURCH . . . It's Alive and Organized!!

We Believe

The Bible

We believe the entire Bible is inspired by God, without error and the authority on which we base our faith, conduct and doctrine.

The Trinity

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this earth as Savior of the world.

Salvation

We believe Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for our sins. We believe that salvation is found by placing our faith in what Jesus did for us on the cross. We believe Jesus rose from the dead and is coming again.

Water Baptism

We believe water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and a testimony to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Communion

We believe in the regular taking of Communion as an act of remembering what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross.

Growing Relationship

We believe every believer should be in a growing relationship with Jesus by obeying God's Word, yielding to the Holy Spirit and by being conformed to the image of Christ
